Aim of PTD

The VATEUD Pilot Training Department has been established in order to achieve the following Aims:

  1. Educate Virtual Pilots as close to real education as possible
  2. Improve professional skills and knowledge of Virtual Pilots
  3. Improve leadership skills and competencies of Pilots Trainers
  4. Set standards for tests and ratings
  5. Educate and help qualified personnel in local vACC’s to build their own local pilot training facilities
  6. Monitor performance of local Pilot Training Departments

To achieve those goals, the Training Department Pilots has two sub departments.

Administration Department

Administration Department is responsible for the website content. Administration manager also processes ratings in the CERT system.

To evaluate theoretical tests, Pilot’s Training Department tries to use the Eurotest software already in use for controller training. People working in this department are responsible for all the questions the system shall provide – they look after existing questions and create new ones according to real life question pools for ATPL and PPL.

Instruction Department

Instructors educate trainers for local vACCs. They teach both flying skills and pedagogical stuff. They recruit competent pilots for their Department.

The Department of Pilot Instructors is lead by a Chief and his Deputy.

The Chief Instructor recruits and manages a group of Control Pilots which will be send to practical controller exams to help in ATC education.

vACC Support helps vACC’s to establish own, local Pilot’s Training Departments. They stay in close contact with the local PTD Chiefs and helps in all matters concerning pilot’s training.

We will be more than happy, seeing you on line, and to help you off line, by email when required.

Our vision and aim, is to make the training process both fun, interesting and rewarding.

There are many dedicated forums, for the benefit of all virtual pilots and virtual air traffic controllers, where you can discuss specific matters and learn from others experience and knowledge.
